Why is the search radius limited to 10 km?
This is because anomaly generation requires fetching hundreds of thousands of quantum random numbers in order to convert these to tens of thousands of coordinate points, and then a number of complex statistical calculations are performed. The larger the radius, the more coordinates are needed. This process is computationally expensive, which translates to both financial expense and server stress. Therefore, in order to keep the app running smoothly for everyone, we have to limit the search radius.
We have recently released an add-on that will allow you to expand the radius up to 29 km! Please check it out, and stay tuned for more exciting updates in the future.
The app says “There isn’t a truly anomalous experience in your radius. Try again momentarily”.

What do the different colours of owls mean?
The owl location pin, as well as an anomaly's radius, displays a colour based on what type of location has been generated. Attractors are gold, Voids are purple, Quantum Blind Spots are green, and Pseudorandom Blind Spots are red/pink.
